HVAC Gas Fired Radiant Heater provides heating just as the earth gets it heat from the sun. The gas fired radiant heater projects heat through the process of radiation rather than convection or conduction. The radiant heater will heat an object located not far from the gas fired radiant heater and the object will give off heat using the process of convection and conduction. For this reason it is not a good idea not to locate the gas fired radiant heater near objects which are sensitive to high temperatures or flammable materials.
There are also electric radiant heaters which use electrcity to produce the radiant heat. The radiant heater utilizes the infrared band of light which carries heat. If you stand or sit next to a radiant heater you will feel the warmth provided by the heat rays which are projected onto you from the radiant heater. Radiant heaters are popular in large garages and warehouses where the radiant heat rays are projected on the large floor space usually located in the types of structures. Caution is advised with any type of heat used in garages, warehouses, or any other location where objects can become too hot and ignite causing a fire.
